Update... I'm Back!!!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you have all been having a good weekend!

Sorry I have been very quiet for a while, this has been such a busy 18 months with getting married, buying our first house, adopting a cat and completing a college course in childcare!

On the 25th July 2018 I got married to my best friend of 9 years, Karl, and had the loveliest country themed wedding of our dreams at the stunning Blackwell Grange wedding venue in the Cotswolds. The day was just perfect from start to finish, with beautiful weather, fantastic food and friends and family all under one roof. Whilst the weather was amazing, I was definitely feeling the 30° heat in my dress!

It was a really enjoyable experience to plan our rustic country wedding. Pinterest was almost an addiction for us both, planning every little detail and getting lost in it all. The day after the wedding everything still felt so surreal but waking up as Mrs Malik was the best feeling ever, knowing that we are now one unit. The day flew past in such a blur which really highlights just how important it is to have the day documented through photos and video, so you can look back and remember the little details that are forgotten so easily during the moment.

While planning our wedding, Karl decided that it would also be a good time to start looking to take our first step onto the ladder by buying our first house. Needless to say, this turned out to be a very stressful process on top of the pressures of wedding planning! However, we finally found our dream home in a small village in the Warwickshire countryside, just outside of the Cotswolds. The next step was to pick a moving date that would work with the fast approaching wedding day, which Karl decided would be the week before the wedding! However, Karl promised me that he would take care of everything and not to worry about it. The move came and went and Karl made good on his promise, I absolutely love my new home!

Due to the house move immediately before the wedding, we have not yet been on our Honeymoon, but we have taken any opportunities for small breaks that have come our way. The day after the wedding we had a little relaxing break in the Lake District with my family. We then went to Germany to spend time my husband’s family. Our final break was spent in Center Parcs, a place that will always have a special place in our hearts, as this was where we first met 10 years ago! It was also at Center Parcs where my husband popped the question in a really romantic and thoughtful proposal, involving hundreds of candles and a spa experience to keep me in the dark whilst he prepared! Our next step is to plan our Honeymoon together.

For the past 2 years I have also been working as a childcare assistant at a local nursery whilst studying for my level 2 and 3 qualifications. I have always enjoyed working with children and have such a fun experience everyday I am at the nursery. I received confirmation that I had passed my level 3 course last month, so thankfully no more late nights working on assignments!

Unfortunately, because of all of the above my photography work has had to take a backseat whilst my focus was on other things. This is now all about to change! I am taking bookings again and you will be seeing more posts from me on this website as well as my Facebook and Instagram accounts.

You will notice that the name for my photography pages on all accounts will now be Daniella Malik Photography.

I will be offering some discounts to you lovely people as a little celebration soon, so watch this space!

If you have any big moments coming up that you want documenting, or even just want a photo shoot to boost self-esteem or give as a gift to a loved one, please feel free to contact me via this website, email, Facebook or Instagram.
